  • November 27 – Columbus, Ohio
  • November 28 – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Dear Ed,

Congratulations on you bike trip to raise awareness of energy efficiency.

Our agency helps get kids on bikes in Philly, promoting an awareness of bikes as a transportation and as a form of lifelong exercise. We use 100% recycled bikes, and mostly used parts. November 29th is one of the most important days for Neighborhood Bike Works--Thanksgiving Saturday is the day we celebrate Major Taylor's birthday. We'd be honored by the chance to meet you. If you are riding through Philly on the 29th perhaps you could stop by our winter cookout.

Here's a look at last year's event

If you can't make it there, we may be able to ride somewhere else and meet you.

In any event, hope you have a great time in Philly!

Best regards,

Andy

Hi, How about putting Ed on TV live when he does his shows. I live more than 100 miles from Cleveland, but I know with my handicap and the price of gas these days, I will not be able to attend his visit. Being a senior citizen with an adopted 11 year old daughter, we struggle to make ends meet and with winter about to start, we'll be a big pickle paying gas bills. Any help we get will be appreciated. We purchased a small ranch house last year and got the attic insulated before winter. We need windows and outside insulation, but can't afford it, as this year it was a new roof (part of it blew off in a storm). I wish Ed success in his trip. We all need some help with winter expenses.

Hi Ed,

I'm with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association in Washington DC. We are a local non-profit promoting bicycling for fun, fitness, and transportation in the DC area. We look forward to riding with you on the Mall! Maybe you could also try out a SmartBike while you are in DC- it's the nation's first bike sharing program. If there are any local cycling resources you need, let us know and we'll be happy to help!

Any info about the upcoming ride in Chicago on Wednesday? Is it open to the public and do you want folks here to publicize and organize a turn out?

Awesome !!
Much better and more practical than the 1 square of toilet paper idea from what's her name!! hahaha!
I am a bike commuter (Brooklyn to midtown NYC - 22 miles daily). I read about this from Treehugger.com. Great ideas all around!!
Good Luck!!
